Blank CDs come in two main formats and it is important to select the correct one for your requirements. Write Once CDs allow data to be copied to the CD just once and this data can then not be erased or overwritten. Rewriteable CDs or CDRW’s allow data to be stored on the disc and then be overwritten, in some cases this can be done up to 1000 times. Using CDs as a method of data storage is becoming less popular as USB storage devices are generally much smaller and easier to transport and offer much higher storage capacities.
