When choosing a new office desk, there are so many choices - old fashioned wood, or maybe metal, to the contemporary, sleek glass models. There are things to consider when you select your desk, like if you need cubbyholes, or drawers, or a slideout key board tray.

Now, most office desks come standard with cubbyholes, and probably a key board tray, but most don't come with drawers - unless you want a big, fancy office desk like the Prime Minister has! Once you've determined the features you'd like your office desk to have, that will help you choose the material it is made out of.

If you want drawers and/or cubbyholes, glass office desks probably aren't for you; however, if it's simplicity you crave, they may be right up your alley. Now, you're left with either wood office desks or particle board ones. Both look like wood, although wood provides better construction and durability.
